Perspective is Everything

Updated: Jul 9, 2021

One of the most effective things that I've learned along my self improvement journey, is perception in every day life. The way we choose to see things can affect our mood, our productivity, and pretty much everything that we experience. I'm sure that most of you know a person who you would describe as negative, so do you think that person looks at every situation with a positive mindset? I doubt it, and the same thing would happen with a positive person, and I mean a genuinely positive person (not someone who seems happy o the outside but is quite the contrary on the inside).

Two people can both be in the exact same situation, and the only thing that could separate them could be their mindset. Their thoughts alone could change the entire outcome, and it all starts with whether you look at it positively, or negatively. When creating a dream lifestyle for yourself, you are inevitably going to come across obstacles, but if you kept your mind focused on the end goal, rather than the obstacles, you'd be giving yourself automatic motivation and reasoning to push forward. Rather than be the guy who only focused on the obstacles and was always being pushed down by his doubts.

I believe that most people don't even realise that they are capable of changing their perspective, and just see everything as it is. If you're reading this, this is your wake up call to become more of a positive thinker, you are completely capable of changing your life. You can't live a positive life with a negative mindset. Your entire attitude depends on how you perceive things, you got this!

At the end of every blog post that I do, I want put some'homework' for the readers, because I don't want my posts to just be read, I want them to be understood and taken in. There's a reason I'm doing this, and a reason I want to do this as a a career. When people read my posts, I want them to feel something, and go away having learnt something new. I want them to feel inspired, and ready to take on a new challenge, and that's why I've created a piece of homework that you can do to improve your mind and life.

For the next 24 hours, don't complain about a single thing, I want you to evaluate the situation and try to figure a way around it. Instead of blaming the situation and saying 'why me' instead say 'try me' and work a way to get past the obstacle. See how it changes your day, look at every situation as an opportunity to be stronger rather than a problem. Comment below if it helped as I'm always available to chat. I'll see you tomorrow in the next post!
